General Things
Welcome to T21C, Teaching in the 21st Century! This blog will guide you through the process of learning about many Web 2.0 tools! These are emerging technologies on the web that are changing the way people, society and educators access information and communicate with each other.
You must do the following:
1. For each virtual class, the assignment will be be posted on the class blog on Monday by 5:00 (or earlier). Each one must be completed by the next Monday (5:00).
2. After completing the assignment you must create a post on your own blog. This blog should be about each particular technology's use / relevance in education. For example, your first blog post should be about blogging and your experience with it. Make it specific to what you hope to teach. Here are some sample questions you could address : How do you feel, personally, about the technology? How do you think this technology could support classroom instruction? Could it contribute to a higher level of student engagement? if so, how? How do you think you might use the technology in the classroom setting?
3. For F2F classes, you are required to create a blog post about the technology that we learned about in class. Use the same guidelines as above.
4. You are also required to post to, at least, one other classmate's blog each week. (All blog addresses are listed on the right side of this blog.)
The QUALITY of your post matters. When creating your posts, YOU ARE NOT PERMITTED TO USE THE WORD "I". Write from a third person point of view and give specifics. Use the questions above to guide your writing.
Remember, the audience for your blog is the world. Pretend that everyone is reading it...and it's very likely that they will be.
